This service is similar to number 4 above, except that Michael Lechtman would not only prepare the pleading, he would file it electronically with the court through his registered e-filing portal. Many clients can have prepared court documents in their hand but they find it very difficult to file them because all filing is now electronic. This would require a trip to the courthouse, a course on instructions on how to file, and even then the actual filing of the documents are a big hassle. Since most legal services, especially in the area of family and force law, are "unbundled" now, Michael Lechtman can electronically file your court document along with a limited notice of appearance. This would mean that he would not be representing you as an attorney on the case but merely for the purposes of electronically filing the required document.   7. Pro Se Divorce Mediation With all Document Preparation: $1600. This is a service that Michael Lechtman has been providing his clients for decades. It is exactly the cheapest, smoothest and least traumatic way that exist to get divorced. As explained on the website, it consists of 2 sessions. Michael Lechtman is acting as a mediator for the parties and not as an attorney for either one. At the first session all of the issues will be discussed and how they could be resolved. Once an agreement is reached as to how the issue should be resolved, the first session will be ended and Michael Lechtman will prepare all the necessary documents based upon the agreements. Then, at the 2nd "meeting" all of the documents will be signed, and the clients may take the documents to the courthouse, including a final judgment for dissolution of marriage, file the case with the court clerk, be assigned a judge, and then go see the judge to have the final judgment of divorce signed. Both parties must be willing and cooperative to accomplish a pro se divorce mediation. However, if it can be done that way tens of thousands of dollars can be saved. In order to keep attorneys fees down even more, there need not be a face-to-face meeting for the divorce mediation. It is actually better to do it via conference call and then subsequently and emailing of the necessary documents to both parties for signature to conclude the mediation.   9. Drafting of Complete Pro Se Divorce Documents: $500.
